Topic: “The Egypt-U.S. Trade Finance Conference”

On 12 November 2008, the AmCham Egypt's Trade-Related Assistance Center (TRAC) in coordination with the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. and the U.S. Department of Commerce hosted a "The Egypt-U.S. Trade Finance Conference" at Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel, Cairo. The conference provided Egyptian and U.S. companies, investors, local government officials and commercial banks with information necessary to accessing U.S. government export finance and investment programs. Panel discussions focused on U.S. government trade finance and regional export credit agencies, such as the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. (Ex-Im Bank), the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). The keynote address was made by His Excellency Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros-Ghali.
