Trade Certification Scholarships
In October 2005, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt signed an agreement to launch the USAID-backed Trade-Related Assistance Center (TRAC), a trade resource for both local and international businesses that will work to ensure that the private sector’s interests and potential gains are maximized in free trade agreements (FTAs), especially the proposed Egypt-US FTA.

“Trade Certification Program Graduation Ceremony”

On June 15, 2008 the American Chamber of Commerce’s Trade-Related Assistance Center (TRAC) sponsored a graduation ceremony for the participants of its Trade Certification Program. The ceremony was presided over by AmCham President Omar Mohanna, USAID Deputy Mission Director John Groarke and TRAC director Dr. Magda Shahin.

“Working with the Egyptian and U.S. Standardization Systems”

On June 3, AmCham/TRAC sponsored a panel discussion on standards and witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
